Services

We can take your idea and turn it into a consumer product. We specialize in DC/DC and AC/DC converters of all topologies, embedded programming including RTOS, 3D modeling including 3D printing, and wireless technology such as Bluetooth. Some of the services we provide are as follows:

  • Product development (partial or full turn-key)
  • General engineering services
  • Proof of concept development and testing
  • Product life-cycle management
  • Design for manufacturing

Our expertise includes:

  • Schematic and PCB Design: Cadence Orcad/Allegro and Autodesk Eagle
  • Power electronics: AC/DC and DC/DC topologies including analog and digital control, and magnetic design
  • Embedded systems: ARM and RISC architectures including STM32, STM8, TI and Microchip (Atmel)
  • Wired communication:  USB, I2C, SPI, SMBus, CANBus and UART
  • Wireless communication: Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), WiFi, LoRa, RFID, WiFi and ZigBee
  • Mechanical engineering: Fusion 360, SolidWorks and Inventor
  • Packaging design: Illustrator, Photoshop and Fusion 360
  • Testing equipment/programming: LabView
  • Simulation: Matlab and LTSpice
  • FPGA/CPLD: Xilinx

Our Product Design Process consists of 4 stages:

Concept Design

At this initial stage, we take your product idea and come up with different solutions depending on your needs. We also do a preliminary cost analysis, risk identification and MVP. Our team of electrical, firmware/software and mechanical engineers will develop models and renders of the concept ideas to create a proof of concept. If the proof of concept meets its goals, the next project phase consist of bringing up working prototypes.

Prototyping

At this stage, we will take the concept design models and construct some prototypes for validation. We will also create the schematic design, PCB boards as well as custom firmware. We use 3D printing in many cases to hasten the prototype construction. Once the prototypes are brought up, we will spend time testing, validating and refining the design until all requirements are met. These prototypes will also be submitted to pre-compliance validation such as FCC, UL, CEC and CE prior to creating a BOM package for pre-production.

Pre-Production

At this stage, a small batch of products are built and used for final compliance. If all specifications are met, we proceed to finalize packaging and tooling so a final BOM package is sent the manufacturer for mass production.

Mass Production

At this final stage, we will send the final BOM package to a manufacturer for a pilot run. Once the first batch of products are approved, we proceed to have the manufacturer begin mass production. We only work with ISO approved factories. Additionally, we will assist the customer with logistics as to where the product needs to be drop shipped or selecting a shipping carrier.
